These characters were designed through TV tropes. The TV tropes from left to right are Shrinking Violet, The Dreaded, I Am What I Am, Then Let Me Be Evil, and Inferiority/Superiority Complex.

Shrinking Violet - The Shrinking Violet is often a quiet and shy character. They try to blend into situations to avoid attention because they feel worthless or unwanted. Their behavior may have been caused by being bullied or another traumatic life event. This character is a good friend to others because they know how hard it can be to feel unloved. They usually find inner strength through good friends or self-realization.
The Dreaded - The Dreaded character instills fears in others. They are the most feared character in a story. Other characters i the story know who this person is and tries to avoid them at all costs. They are not feared specifically for what they are currently doing, but because of who they are and what they are capable of. This character usually knows that they are feared and uses this to their advantage to get whatever they want and do whatever they want.
I Am Who I Am - A character who falls under "I Am Who I Am" has an element of themselves that they are ashamed of. Society has told them that this trait is undesirable. After much struggle, the character chooses to embrace their differences and what makes them unique. With acceptance they find pride, confidence, and enlightenment. This newfound attitude towards uniqueness may be used to help influence others to love themselves.
Then Let Me Be Evil - The "Let Me Be Evil" character is often not evil to begin with. Throughout the story, this character and their behaviors will be seen as evil by others. This character may just have troubles expressing themselves or may have all the intention in the world to do good, yet it keeps backfiring on them. Because of this, they are looked down upon and often rejected by society. This character eventually embraces the way they are viewed by others and become evil out of spite.
Inferiority/Superiority Complex - A character with the Inferiority/Superiority Complex uses their high-and-mighty attitude to hide a slew of insecurities. They are desperate to prove themselves and win over other people. They have a high opinion of themselves and do not do well when dealing with failure or rejection. They use a false air of pride to hide how self-conscious they actually are. They will often put others down to boost their own ego and feel more secure about themselves.
